The Cape Fear Volunteer Center maintains a storage facility filled with necessities for distribution to the Katrina evacuees that have relocated to the area. More than 700 came through the area.

We distribute food, furniture, clothing and other essentials, the storage unit was a disaster before Hands on Wilmington volunteers organized it, labeled everything and installed shelving units, you are looking at the after shots. We thank them for their hours of service.

The awesome volunteers that made the Katrina donations in the storage facility of the Cape Fear Volunteer Center organized and ready for business. Thanks to Leadership Wilmington Class and Youth Matters and all the donors to Hands on Wilmington for making it happen on April 22nd, we look forward to next year.
