Jeremy Caudill, manager of Papa John's says, “Papa John's Pizza may be an international company, but we live, work, and raise our families in our local communities. We couldn't be happier to help people in-need in Wilmington and surrounding areas by donating excess food to the Harvest Program. And a huge thanks to CFVC for what it does to get aid to those who need it most." |

Service Learning
CFVC is a New Hanover County Schools Community Service Learning Program partner. Service learning increases a student’s sense of community and their power to help others through volunteering.
The CFVC is also placing students of the Juvenile Day Treatment Center, an Alternative Education setting of New Hanover County Schools. This program is a partnership to provide services for long term suspended or expelled students. CFVC’s objective is to provide at least one successful service learning opportunity for each student, as well as have them feel the associated value from having provided that service through the rewards of the Presidential Service Awards program.

CareNet
CareNet is the Cape Fear Volunteer Center program that assists community individuals who are in need of non-traditional assistance. People may need a ride for medical care or lawn work done. Others may request assistance with payment of bills or home repairs. While CFVC does not have funds to assist homeowners, this program helps by referring people to non-profits in New Hanover County or by locating volunteers who make help meet their needs.
